Dear KFOTT Member,
Forestry in the South East
A review of current practices and challenges
We are delighted to announce details of our first winter presentation this season, presented by Jamie Cunningham of the Forestry Commission and invite our members and guests to join this event.
Talk Commences at 2.30pm
Tuesday 24th February 2026
The Lads’ Club, Rectory Lane, Saltwood, Hythe, CT21 4PZ
Jamie is Field Manager with the Forestry Commission, with responsibility for the South East of England
His role covers many practical aspects of the Forestry commission work, including support to private woodland owners to increase and manage existing woodland appropriately.
Whilst I have not seen an outline of his presentation, we have discussed that topics such as plantings for climate change, pathogen management and changes in forestry management techniques would be of interest to his audience on the day.
Please join me on 24th February, in Saltwood to listen to this fascinating presentation.
